SPORTS! The Chinese Varsity Club’s “Original Department”
Simply put, the CVC Sports Department is responsible for most of the “get off your butt” and “do something” events. Whether you’re an all-star athlete, someone that doesn’t know the difference between a basketball and a football, or simply just someone that wants to be more active all while meeting new people, our department will definitely have something for you to try.
The goal of the department is to create an environment that combines both the active and social aspect of sports. Another important goal for the upcoming year is to provide unique events that members would not normally try out on their own…
Sneak Peek! The summer has been busy with the current sports department brainstorming and planning the upcoming year. Some events that are possible for the 2009/2010 school year range from curling, to pole dancing, to hot yoga, and the possible return of “Smackdown” CVC’s long running volleyball tournament. Interested? Although the current Sports Department for the 2009/2010 has already been hard at work planning the upcoming year, they are still currently looking for another individual to join the team. No sports experience is required! If you work well with a team and like to plan big events that get people off the couch and moving then look for the CVC booth during clubs days and sign up for an interview!
