GOTCHA!

That’s the name of Community’s first event, our campus-wide version of a spy vs. spy game in September to kick off the year, where CVC members get to know each other and only one of you runs off with the final cash prize! But the heart of our department lies in our contributions to the community outside of UBC. Our focus this year will be to show how you can have fun AND help others at the same time. From organizing donation drives for charitable organizations, to running 24 consecutive hours to send disabled kids to camp, the Community department will bring students together to make a difference. Of course, we can’t forget our infamous Rose Deliveries, a fundraiser for the Heart & Stroke Foundation, where we will go around campus personally sending singing telegrams and roses on behalf of CVC members. And you can join us too! We will be working hard to provide volunteer opportunities for you all year. So, if you are interested in helping out the community with other members, you have an idea for one of our events, or you just want more information, give us a shout!
