Our External Communications department (ExComm for short) is simultaneously the most transparent and the most important department that helps CVC run smoothly. With such a large member base, a department dedicated to informing its members and bringing them together is absolutely necessary. ExComm fills that role — they are the vital link between the exec body and the rest of the members.

ExComm is responsible for the member emails that land in your Inbox informing you of upcoming events. ExComm is responsible for this very website and its forums, which together serve as a central information hub and online community to increase the lines of communication between members. If there’s any news you find out about CVC or its events, you can bet that it’s courtesy of ExComm.

ExComm is a unique department from the others in that it consists of positions that carry out very diverse and specific functions and roles. Graphic designers. Newsletter editors. Website specialists. Arts and Promotions coordinators. These are just some of the various talents combining together to form a well-oiled externally communicating machine of some kind.
